Meet the People Behind WGS
WGS was founded by husband and wife team Paul and Louise Large, bringing together decades of industry experience and a shared belief that waste management should be professional, transparent and personal.
Prior to establishing WGS, Paul enjoyed a varied background in quality and production management and sales including 10 years hands-on experience in the clinical waste sector. After a successful career with Initial, Paul went in to business with Wastegone.com in Manchester and helped grow that company, before leaving and setting up WGS Clinical Services in 2013. From the outset, Paul’s intention was to offer clients an honest, reliable, and flexible service and, as the business has expanded, he still possesses that same can-do, enthusiastic approach.
Louise has a sales, recruitment and design background and has successfully run her own business in the beauty sector for over 10 years, trading as a professional makeup and hair artist, predominantly in the bridal industry. Her interests have always been closely aligned with the clinical and healthcare sectors – which are both an integral part of the WGS business – and Louise’s close association with this area of the industry has helped establish WGS as a highly respected operator.
